About the Movie

The Polar Express is a 2004 American computer-animated adventure film based on the 1985 children’s book of the same name by Chris Van Allsburg, who also served as one of the executive producers on the film. The film was co-written, produced, and directed by Robert Zemeckis, and starred Tom Hanks, Chris Coppola, Michael Jeter, Nona Gaye, Peter Scolari, and Eddie Deezen. The film tells the story of a young boy who, on Christmas Eve, sees a mysterious train bound for the North Pole stop at his house. When he boards the train, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.
