About the Movie

In the movie, Field of Dreams, Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella hears a voice in his cornfield telling him, “If you build it, he will come.” He interprets this message as an instruction to build a baseball field on his farm, upon which appear the ghosts of Shoeless Joe Jackson and seven other Chicago White Sox players from the 1919 Black Sox Scandal. Kinsella becomes convinced that if he can get them to play baseball again, they will find redemption. However, his wife, Annie, is skeptical of his increasingly erratic behavior. She fears he is losing his mind.
