About the Movie

Desperation is a 2006 American horror television film directed by Mick Garris and starring Ron Perlman, Tom Skerritt, and Samantha Mathis. The screenplay by Matt Venne is based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. The film was produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television for ABC and aired on May 23, 2006.

When a group of stranded motorists are forced to take refuge in an abandoned town, they soon realize that the town is anything but abandoned. It is home to a murderous creature that has taken over the bodies of the townsfolk. The creature is determined to sacrifice the strangers to an ancient god, and the only way out is through a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Desperation is a fast-paced thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.
