About the Movie

Bubba Ho-Tep is a 2002 American comedy horror film directed, co-produced, and co-written by Don Coscarelli. It stars Bruce Campbell as Elvis Presley—now an elderly man living in a nursing home in East Texas—who team up with Jack, a fellow resident who believes that he is John F. Kennedy, to battle an ancient Egyptian mummy. The film was co-produced by Campbell and Coscarelli. It is based on the novella Bubba Ho-Tep by Joe R. Lansdale.

Bubba Ho-Tep tells the “true” story of what happened to Elvis Presley. Elvis (Bruce Campbell) is now an old man, living in a nursing home in East Texas. He is plagued by constant constipation and has to use a walker to get around. His only friend is Jack (Ossie Davis), who believes that he is John F. Kennedy.

One night, Elvis and Jack witness a ancient Egyptian mummy attacking one of the nursing home residents. They soon discover that the mummy is real and is after them. They must use all of their ingenuity and strength to battle the mummy and stop it from killing anyone else.
